Good news, bad news

I'm just checking in quickly to let you know that yay, Willow is doing fine - the lump in her belly is benign! Thank you so much for all of your kind wishes!

On a different note, we got some bad news from Homeland Security regarding my green card. It turns out that they have been sending stuff to a wrong address, and for well over a month they have been waiting for me to send them a second copy of our marriage certificate, and my application has not moved anywhere in the system, not an inch. I guess it is not a big deal, but it is still frustrating. We have wasted over a month because of their mistake, and just to rub it in, it is not that we have done anything wrong, they just want to have an extra copy of a paper they already have. Grrrrr.

How frustrating but you know what just get the copy and send it to them again because they probably won't be able to find the one you already sent. So sorry about that I know how bad you wanted all this to be done soon. Good thing your kittie is okay. Best wishes and I love those shoes and your outfit is really cute.

That skirt is marvelous!!! Love the maroon and the yellow. Perhaps you could stop all over HSA with those nifty red shoes.

I'm glad Willow's okay! That's pretty frustrating about your green card though.

I'm glad Willow is OK, and sorry for the mailing-address snafu. I know it's not much consolation, but at least you look fabulous - I love the skirt and cardigan together!

Yeay for Willow's health! And love the lovely yellow sweater.
Augh, you can never trust Homeland Security to get anything right. They're about as annoying as health insurance companies. I hear similar stories from my friends and relatives here in the states. What a drag.

Immigration sucks. The bureaucracy and inefficiency is so frustrating to deal with.

Love this sweater!

What a relief Willow is ok. Bureaucracy is the pits.

Immigration is such a pain. I remember all the hoops we had to jump through to move to New Zealand! So glad your kitty is okay.

Wow, that IS a good news, bad news sitch. Thank goodness Willow is OK, but man, what a bummer about the greencard!

Hope wearing that marvelous skirt cheered you up a bit ...

I have pretty much this same cardigan, and I love it. It looks great with your dress and those happy shoes.
Strange, you know--wouldn't it be easier for them to make a copy themselves than to spend the postage asking you for another one? Since the copy they HAVE is probably certified, would it really need to be another certified copy? Oh well, that's bureaucracy for you.
Here's hoping you'll be green in no time. We have friends right now who are coming to terms with the fact that they'll probably have to go back to their home country after 11 years in the U.S. It's so frustrating.

Yay for Willow! Homeland Security on the other hand, well, at least you can rejoice in the fact that they're keeping our new homeland safe from scum like us.
Personally I feel very secure.

Love the cardigan too.

Good grief, can they not make a copy themselves? But so glad to hear that your kitty is ok.

And that outfit is really cute! I've never been able to work out how to wear belts prettily (and now I won't be able to wear any for a while!!) for some reason. Hmph

I feel you on the frustration--I almost had a medical bill ruin my credit because they kept sending it and sending it to the wrong address. This was AFTER I changed my address with them--twice!

Hang in there. At least you look cute!
