The ice holds now. Winter in Finland is truly mesmerizing.
It's cold. The days appear short and it gets dark by 3:30 pm. Hoar frost covers everything. The snow squeaks under one's boots.

I tried to focus the camera lens on these frozen cobwebs, but my hands were too cold to hold still.

So. Jealous. Gosh. I just miss kunnon pakkaslumi so much. I never thought I would but I do. We're thinking about going up to the mountains just to get to see some. Hei missa pain Suomenniemee te oikein asutte? Oon yrittanyt arvailla. Mun vanhemmat asuu Kuopiossa ja aiti sanoi etta siella on ollu jarvet jaassa jo jonkin aikaa. Hauskaa Uutta Vuotta!

Milla, me ollaan Lappajärvellä Etelä-Pohjanmaalla. Just nyt ei ole muuten mitään kadehdittavaa näissä keleissä: nollan hujakoilla mennään, ja räntää tulee kolmatta päivää putkeen... Hyvää Uutta Vuotta myös teille! :)
